Not sure of the newspaper the obituary was in but the obituary reads:
Mrs. Sydnor Broadus
Mrs. Sydnor M. (Adeline L.) Broadus, 80, 739 Washington St. died at 8:19 pm Sunday in the Mercy Hospital Unit of cancer. She had been in poor health for four months and seriously ill for three weeks.
Friends may call in the Earle Little Funeral Home where services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. William N Mertz of St. Paul's United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist building fund.
Mrs. Broadus was born Dec. 25, 1893, in Wanatah, Ind. she married Mr. Broadus Feb. 10. 1917, in the Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso, Ind. She came to Monroe in 1926 from Sycamore, Ill, and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Mrs. Broadus' husband was Civil Defense director for several years.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Nogar Jr. of Monroe and Mrs Charles (Barbara) Grant of Cloverdale, Ind.; a brother Frederick W. Kosanke of Hebron, Ind; a sister, Mrs. Harvey (Dorothy) Keeler of South Bens, Ind.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.
