Sam was a retiree for U.S. Castings, Advance Waste Disposal, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a simple man who loved his God, family and friends. Mr. Gentry never met a stranger. He would do without to help anyone he knew was in need. You never saw him without a smile on his face. "God has got this" was his favorite saying. He loved to hunt and fish in earlier years of his life. He did not go so much when his grandchildren came into his life. He spent his free time with them. If you ever met him, you loved him, that's how he was. He was also a huge Alabama football fan. Fly High to Jesus precious man - we will always have you in our hearts.
