Obituary

Funeral services for Billy Wayne Gentry, 68, of Anniston will be 11 am Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Mike Drummond officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 - 7 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Gentry passed away on Saturday at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene "Sissy" Gentry, daughters, Cristy Braden (Josh) and Stacey Morales (Blake), son, Scott Gentry (Christina), grandchildren, Christopher Haynes (Ashley), Mikey Haynes (Kiko), Marissa Dial, Dominic Morales, Gavin Morales and Corbin Morales, great-grandchildren, Asher Dial, Nolan Dial, Mike Haynes, Lucy Haynes and Staci Haynes, sisters, Elizabeth Hammett and Darlene Turner (Kenny), sister-in-laws, Juanita Gentry, Georgette Gentry and Jane Mangham (Danny) fur babies, Mary, Ellie, Kody and Nagee, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Gentry is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Mary Gentry, brothers, William Gentry, Sam Gentry (Theresa), J.R. Gentry, Johnny Gentry and Frankie Gentry, Danny Gentry (Kathy), sisters, Rita Faye Gentry and Brenda Gentry.

Pallbearers will be Scott Gentry, Josh Braden, Christopher Haynes, Dominic Morales, Gavin Morales and Shannon Deese.

Mr. Gentry was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He loved Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball and the Atlanta Falcons. He loved to dance and he loved all the children at the UPC Center where he worked for thirteen years.
