JEANETTE B. SCHMALFELDT
(1927 - 2012)

Jeanette B. Schmalfeldt, age 85, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at her home (Oct. 23) surrounded by her loving family and her dog, Buddy.

She was born on October 4, 1927 in Newton, WI, a daughter to the late Walter and Ida Paul Dehne. She attended local schools. On August 31, 1946 she married William K. Schmalfeldt in Manitowoc. The couple resided in Newton and for the last 54 years in Sheboygan. She worked at Prange's (which later became Prange Way) for many years. Her husband preceded her in death on May 22, 2010. She is a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. Jeanette enjoyed embroidering, writing poems and spending time with her family.

Survivors include: Four Children: William T. Schmalfeldt of Sheboygan Falls, Darlene (Tom) Bigler of Sheboygan Falls, Barbara (Tom) Buchner of Sheboygan, Mark Schmalfeldt of Sheboygan Falls; Seven Grandchildren; Seven Great Grandchildren; Two Sisters: Verlene Kollath of Manitowoc and LaVerne (Bob) Schmitz of Newton. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; five sisters: Leona Helke, Florence Mott, Ruth Mott, Eleanor Fisher and Carol Behringer; one brother, Walter Dehne and two daughter-in-laws: Mary Jo Schmalfeldt and Lucy Schmalfeldt.

Funeral services will be held on Friday evening (Oct. 26) at 6:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home, 1317 State Road 67, in Plymouth. Rev. Gregory Whelton, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ in Sheboygan, will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Newton. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 3:00 P.M. on Friday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jeanette's name.
