Mr. John Garrigan, 57, of 2000 Johnston Drive, Manitowoc, died at Woods Veteran Hospital, Milwaukee, Wednesday morning, May 27, 1987. A long time resident of Manitowoc, born in Muskegon, Michigan, November 21, 1929, he was the son of Lillian (Conjurski) LaFleur and Leland Garrigan. S/Sgt. Garrigan retired after 23 years of Army service. He served in the WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Amongst his accomplishments were WWII Victory Medal; in Korean, the Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars; in Vietnam, Purple Heart, Bronze Star with V Device, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze stars and the Army Air Medal. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 1248 of Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Survivors include a brother, Guy Garrigan of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Smith, Mrs. Roland (Wava) Grosshuesch of Two Rivers, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Weston of Manitowoc; two stepsisters, Mrs. Russel (Carla) Guilette of Casco, WI and Mrs. Allen (Ida) Trochel of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Elaine) Garrigan of Manitowoc and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Richard and Jimmie Garrigan. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 1987 at 1:30 pm at Wood Hospital Chapel, Milwaukee. Burial to follow at Wood National Cemetery.
