ORY NUTTER

Ory Ernest Nutter, son of Jack and Matilda Nutter was born July 7, 1907 in Center Township, Cloud County, Kan., and died Thursday, April 2 at the St. Joseph hospital, Concordia at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 25 days.

While a small boy his family moved to Lincoln Township, Republic County where he attended school. Later he attended the Concordia Business College. He spent most of his life in farming in Republic County. He was employed for sometime in Van Nuys, Calif., and in Wichita.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Susie Courville and Mamie Viola, who died in infancy.

Survivors are: five brothers, McKinley and Fred of Belleville, a twin, Orly of Alameda, Calif., Cecil of Agenda, Maurice of Ames; half-brother, Dewayne of Belleville; four sisters, Selma (Mrs. Archie Spurrier), Chillicothe, Mo., Lucille (Mrs. Arthur Sutton), Chula Vista, Calif., Blanche (Mrs. Orville Johnson), Concordia, Darlyne (Mrs. Herbert Lampert), Brooklyn, N. Y.; 4 aunts; 3 uncles; 15 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 5, 2:30 p.m. at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel conducted by the Rev. Royce Baldwin. Interment was in Union cemetery.
