BELLEVILLE - William McKinley Nutter, 95, Belleville, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1992, at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia. Mr. Nutter was born Sept. 16, 1896, near Talmo and was a lifelong resident of Republic County. He was a farmer and stockman. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Concordia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, who died in 1986, and a son, Jack.
Survivors include two sons, McKinley of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Lyle of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three sisters, Blanche Johnson and Darlyne Lampert, both of Concordia, and Selma Spurrier of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Maurice of Ames; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia, the Rev. James Akins officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery, near Talmo, with military rites by the VFW. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
