Funeral services for George Gardner, son of Mrs Adell Gardner, who succumbed June 28th to hemorrhage of the lungs, were held Saturday June 30th in the North Ward Chapel with Counselor Ben Hale in charge.

He was cheerful charitable and absolutely unselfish, devoted to his aged mother for whom all the speakers expressed deepest sympathy invoking the blessings of the Lord in her behalf. The speakers said, had he been physically able, athletics would have claimed much of his attention as it was such games as he was able to participate in he enjoyed to the utmost, manifesting a degree of sportsmanship seldom seen in anyone.
He was a faithful ward teacher until his death.
Lines written by Elona G. Hillyard were read by Lettie D. Campbell.
Interment was in the City Cemetery.
