At the time of the 1900 census, they were counted in Boise, Ada County, and Sam listed his occupation as a carpenter. In 1910 they were also counted Boise and Sam's occupation was carpenter. At the time of 1920 census, they were counted on North 19th Street, in Boise and the household included their 14-year old Austrian-born adopted daugther, Helen. Sam died December 30, 1933, in Boise.
