Middie was a Worcester City League bowling champion and a top bowler in the city for more than three decades. Mr. Derosier gave exhibitions for the World War I Chest and bowled for Worcester against Boston teams. For many years he managed the late Jack Munsey's alleys on Pearl St. He retired from the local bowling scene about 1931.
He was employed as a weaver for thirty years, with the last 16 years being at the John Alden Woolen Co. Middie died in Auburn on June 4, 1955, just a few months before his step mother, who had raised him since about the age of nine.
