Eliza Madeline Derosiers Balthazar was born on Aug 12, 1877 in Baltic, CT. She was the daughter of Hercule Arthur Derosier and Henrietta Gagnon Desrosiers. Eliza married Noe. F. Balthzar in Northborough, MA on June 17,1898. Noe F. Balthazar was born in 1876 in Hudson, MA, the son of Francois & Philomene (Mary) (Charroux) Balthazar. At the time of their marriage, Eliza was a weaver and Noe was a shoemaker, who had left the seminary.

In the 1920 Census for Hudson, MA, Noe & Eliza own their own home and he is working as a postal clerk. There are four children in residence at this time (Eva, George, Mildred & Arthur).

At the time of her death, on Jan. 18, 1964, in Hudson MA, she had been living in Hudson for 65 years. She left two daughters, Mrs. Eva Petrie of Leominster and Mrs. Mildred Fahey of Hudson; a son Arthur Balthazar of Marlboro; and three sisters, Miss Hattie Desrosiers, Mrs. Walter Young and Mrs. Lillian Howard; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
