Pheobe Harris was born in Sevier Co. Utah to parents Jacob & Eliza Jane Carpenter Harris. The family moved to Lincoln Co. NM 1877, she m. Wm. T Dufur in Roswell NM and they moved to San Juan Co.NM 1900. Owned a cattle ranch Blanco Canyon 1916, her father Jacob lived with them there,he died 1920 buried Hammond Cemetery. Death date is wrong on Phebes grave stone, was placed long after she died, it reads 1947, should be 1943.
Daughter Louisa Minerva married Raymond Hays they moved to Port Orchard, Kitsap, Washington,she died there Jan 5, 1978. All other children burials added.
