Eva Lee Bice was born on 8 January 1897 in Montgomery County, Texas, to Lafayette Bice Jr and Lillian Angeline Ercanbrack. Her father died when she was nine years old and she was raised by her step-father, WJ Small. Eva married first James Franklin Crismore, 8 July 1911, when she was fourteen years old, in Bryan, Texas. Their son was Frank Crismore. After she and James were divorced, she married second a Mr Owen. Eva Bice Crismore Owen died, 13 October 1969, aged 72, in Norwalk, California, and was buried at Little Lake Cemetery in Santa Fe Springs, California.
