Mrs. Mona Styles Adamson
Mrs. Mona Styles Adamson, 91, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 12, 1997. She was born in Carroll County, Georgia on April 4, 1906, daughter of the late Reverend Aaron Gordon Styles and Mrs. Fannie Horsley Styles.
Mrs. Adamson was a very active member of the Lake Claire Baptist Church, served on the Georgia Baptist Executive Board and served on the Women Mission Union Executive Board.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willis Henton Adamson, son Kenneth Adamson, sister Zella Wilson and a brother, Floyd Styles.
Survivors include four sons, Savoy H. Adamson, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Styles C. Adamson and Charles L. Adamson both of Atlanta, and Willis F. "Bill" Adamson of Decatur, Georgia, five sisters; Mildred Johnson of Waco, Georgia, Goldie Cole and Jean Fuller, both of Bowdon, Georgia, Pauline Teal of Port Richey, Florida, and Betty Hooker of Decatur, Georgia and a sister-in-law Myrle Styles Hammond of Carrollton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 15, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kansas Baptist Church, Bowdon, Georgia with Dr. John Carpenter officiating. Music will be by Daphne Gray.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
