Mrs. Emitt Johnson Passed Away Saturday At Memorial Hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. Emitt Johnson, or more than 35 years a resident of Saratoga, were held this afternoon in Rawlins. Following the services the body was brought to Saratoga, and graveside services were held at the local cemetery. The Rawlins services were held at the McKelvey-Conroy funeral home. Rev. D. N. Shotwell of Encampment was the minister in charge.
Mrs. Johnson passed away at Memorial hospital in Rawlins late last Saturday evening, where she had been taken a day or so before for treatment. She had been in declining health for the last several years.
She was a native of Missouri, and was married in La Plata in that state, in October of 1894. She and Mr. Johnson made their home there for some 18 years, and then in 1912, accompanied by their three sons, moved to Saratoga to make their home. They had resided here continuously since.
Survivors include her husband and two sons, Fred Johnson who resides in Loveland, Colo., and Howard Johnson, who lives in Cheyenne. A third son, Olin, died here in November of 1917. Other survivors include a sister and two brothers and several grandchildren and great grand children.
