Funeral service for Pete Plumlee, 81, of Tuttle, were held Tuesday, 9/6/1988, in the Tuttle Church of Christ. Calvin "Pete" Plumlee was born June 10, 1907, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and passed away Sunday, September 04, 1988, in Tuttle. Mr. Plumlee moved to Blanchard, Oklahoma, from the Berryville, Arkansas, area in 1909 and in the early 1920's, moved to the Tuttle area, where he made his home. Pete married Elgiva Hestand October 12, 1927 in Oklahoma City, and she preceded him in death on October 07, 1978. Pete later married Metha Hill December 12, 1985 in Tuttle. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Tuttle Church of Christ. Mr. Plumlee was also preceded in death by 1 son, Louis Plumlee, 4 brothers, Pat, Roy, Ray, and Hugh Plumlee, and 1 sister, Bliss Hestand. He is survived by his wife, Metha Plumlee of the home, 1 daughter, Helen Wood of Tuttle, 5 sons, Paul and Vernon Plumlee of Tuttle, and Hubert, Joe, and Wayne Plumlee, all of Oklahoma City, 24 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Chloe Bassinger of Tuttle, and 1 brother, Jess Plumlee of Tuttle.
Interment was held in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.
