Funeral services for Albert Verwolf, 40, of Manhattan will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Burial will be in Meadow View Cemetery at Manhattan.

Verwolf, who died Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was born April 17, 1919 in Oral, S.D., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Verwolf. He came to Manhattan at the age of three with his parents and made his home there until his death. He attended Manhattan schools and had been employed at the Trident Cement Plant.

A veteran of World War II, Verwolf was a member of the American Legion. He also belonged to the Presbyterian Church, IOOF Lodge and the American Bowling Assn.

He married Nona Buckland at Manhattan on November 6, 1942.

Survivors in addition to his parents and widow, include a son, Charles Verwolf, and daughter, Linda Verwolf, of Manhattan; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Thelma) Hotzel of Manhattan, Mrs. Merle (Iva) Matthews of Bozeman and Mrs. Bill (Anna) Hibbs of Boulder; and three brothers, George John Verwolf of Bozeman, Peter Verwolf of Paramont, Calif., and a twin, Myrtle Verwolf of Manhattan Beach, Calif.
