JH was the oldest child of Jess & Pearl McCall Wells. He was named after his grandfathers, James Wells, and Dr Horace McCall. He was dearly loved by his sisters, Hazel & Lois, along with his two brothers Leroy and Kenneth.

JH was known being such a loveable man, everyone liked him and he liked them. He was a heavy duty mechanice, known to be of the best, living in Houston for many years.

This picture was his daughter Avis' favorite picture of him, taken in 1953. JH's first marriage was to Ruby Patton and they had two children, Avis and Donald Olen Wells. They married very young, and this marriage did not last.

JH married Christine Cook and they had three children, Shirley Jean, Pamela Kay and James Harold.

JH & Christine are buried along side his parents, and great grandparents, Dr & Mrs HL McCall and James Oliver
and Perline Sides Wells, and MN & Susan Yates Musgrove, not far from where he was raised.
