Charles Moore, Farmer Of Baring Community, Died While Moving Cattle
Charles Moore, 78, a retired farmer of five miles west of Baring, died unexpectedly about 7 o'clock Thursday morning, March 20, 1969. He was assisting with moving cattle near his home when stricken and died instantly.
Rosary services were at 8 o'clock Friday evening at the Kriegshauser Funeral Home here and funeral services were at 10 0'clock Saturday morning at St. Aloysius Church in Baring. The Rev. Thomas Dolan officiated and burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Mr. Moore is survived by a son, Ernest Moore, who with his wife and four children, Marchelle, Karen, Kevin and Charlene, made their home with him, and a brother, Ray Moore, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Hilt, both of Baring. The latter is hospitalized at Quincy after having suffered a fractured hip several weeks ago.
A son and one of the twelve children of John and Anna McFadden Moore of northwest of Baring, Charles Moore was born Oct. 29, 1890. He married Oct. 14, 1929, to Miss Mae Reardon, also of near Baring, at St. Aloysius Church by the Rev. Bernard S. Owens, and they went to housekeeping on the farm northwest of Baring. Mrs. Moore preceded him in death Nov. 12, 1958. He was a veteran of World War I having served in the U. S. Army.
Mr Moore was also preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Bert, Frank, Ernest, Willie, Leo and Nova Moore, and three sisters, Edith, Irene and Margaret.
