At the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore, after a few days illness of pneumonia, their little daughter, Edith, born Dec. 4, 1898 and died April 18, 1899.
Yes, dear Edith now has left us,
For a home beyond the sky
For a home of peace and joy,
Where the spirits never die.
Forever from us you are gone;
To that bright celestial place;
How we miss you darling sweet and fair,
Miss your bright and smiling face.
Far away from us you are gone,
To that happier land beyond the sea;
For a home of peace and joy,
Where care and pain never trouble thee.
O dear, precious darling babe,
You're better off today;
In that bright and heavenly home,
In heaven far away.
