James Albert Moore, 70, Lifelong Baring Resident, Dies last Thursday

James Albert Moore, better known as Bert Moore, a native and lifelong resident of the Baring community died at 7:30 o'clock last Thursday evening, July 30, 1953, at St. Mary Hospital in Quincy at the age of 70 years. Mr. Moore suffered a stroke a year ago, from which he did not fully recover.

The body of Mr. Moore was brought to the Kriegshauser Funeral Home here, where it lay in state until time for funeral services, which were at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Aloysius Church in Baring by the Rev. Stephen Carew, pastor. Burial was in the St. Aloysius Cemetery.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife; three children, Leo Moore of Albuquerque, N. Mex., Helen, Mrs. Richard Hunolt, of Edina and Betty Moore of the home; a sister, Mrs. John Hilt of near Brashear, and four brothers, Frank Moore of Kansas City, and Charley, Ray and Nova Moore of Baring.

James Albert Moore was born Aug. 18, 1882, in Baring, the oldest of twelve children of John and Anna McFadden Moore.

He was married to Gladys Chipman in 1918 in Kirksville and they were the parents of the children mentioned as surviving.
