Mr. Meyer was born in Eaton in 1867 and spent his life in the county. In 1892 he was married to Miss Theresa Knier and they located on the farm in Liberty. His son, John, took over the homestead when Mr. Meyer retired 11 years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Steve of St. Nazianz, Matt of Cleveland, and John; four daughters, Mrs. George Heimann of Hayton, Mrs. Joseph Schad
of Schleswig, Mrs. Hugo Woelfel of New Holstein, and Mrs. Peter Stein of R. 1. Valders; two brothers, Peter and Matt of St. Nazianz; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Fessler, Mrs. Joseph Knier and Miss Mary Meyer of St. Nazianz, and Mrs. Joseph Peters of Stratford, and 33 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the St. Gregory Catholic church in St. Nazianz, with interment in the village cemetery. The Rev. Fintan Holzknecht will officiate.
