Kimball Man Taken By Death
Richard E. [Elbert] Pennington, 50, died Monday night at his home in Kimball. While returning from his work he was stricken with a heart attack and died shortly after arriving home.
Mr. Pennington was born in Chilhowie, Va. He had lived in this county and worked in the various county mines for the past 35 years. At the time of his death he was employed as safety foreman for the Pearless Coal and Coke Company at Vivian.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. Austin Angle and Rev. G.M. Curry in charge. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ona H. Pennington and the following brothers: Andrew, Lee, Ellis, Trellie, Lonnie and one half-brother, Gaither. Arrangements were made at the Bennett Funeral Home at Northfork.
