Orville Arnold Nichols, 67, of 812 Broadway St., died Sunday at Scioto Memorial Hospital.

A Greenup County native, he was a retired former Harbison-Walker Refractories Co. kiln operator.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Loper Nichols; four sons, Charles David of San Diego, Calif., Arnold E. of Wheelersburg, William W., with the Army, and Orville Dale of the Broadway St. address; three stepsons, Roger Robinette of Chicago, Ill., Thomas Robinette of Wheelersburg and Mike Robinette of Columbus; five daughters, Mrs. Patty Wolfenbarger of Portsmouth, Mrs. Mary Lou Sexton of South Shore, and Sandra, Rebecca and Brenda Nichols, all at home; two brothers, Earl of West Portsmouth and Robert of Highland Bend; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services are planned at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Windel-Howland & Brant Funeral home, with Rev. John Burgess officiating and interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
