He was a retired Sante Fe Railroad employee and a veteran of WWII. He resided in Kingman most of his life.
He married Grace Robey in 1940. She died in 1953. He later married Mary Alice Coe. She died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Albert; two daughters, Dixie Chronister and Alice Bailey; a brother, Nathan; sister, Leona Hoffine; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
