Cruze,Lloyd Vernon, age 73, of Strawberry Plains Pike, died at University Hospital Monday night. He was a retired Night Watchman for the City of Knoxville. Suvivors: wife Mrs.Hazel Burkhart Cruze, daughters Mrs.Fred(Doris)Holden, Mascot, Mrs.Bud(Dorothy)Clark, Nashville, Mrs.Bob(Mary Beth)Armstrong of Marietta,Georgia, son John W.Cruze of Knoxville, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Fred F.Cruze of Knoxville, sister Mrs. Floyd(Jessie)Pratt of Athens,Tennessee, service 4 pm Wednesday at McCarty Mortuary Chapel, Rev.John Lane, Rev.David Sally officiating, interment in Asbury Cemetery, pallbearers will be grandsons, honorary pallbearers Maynard Glenn, Hoover Bell, Hugh Maynard, Tom Flint, Albert Maynard, Paul Learn, Bill Maynard, Hubert Brogden, Harold "Red" Naill, Hal Clements. The family will be at the home of John Cruze on Perry Road. Family will receive friends Tuesday 7-9 pm at McCarty Mortuary.
