--------------------------
At Hagerstown, Washington Co. Maryland, John W. married Hannah Hays of Virginia. Nine children were born of this union; George 1791, Henry 1792, John 1796, Abraham 1800, Nancy 1801, Isaac 1803, Solomon 1805, Hannah 1807 and Samuel 1810. In 1826, the family moved to Mt. Vernon. Solomon and Henry remained in Maryland. Amos Steinmetz and his wife Elizabeth came to Mt.Vernon, Ohio from Maryland with John W. in 1826 but we do not yet know the relation.
---------------------------

Burial records indicate 4 Stinemetz burials together in Lot 39 of Section 3, Row 6.; George, James, Amanda, and Hannah Stinemetz, all have no markers or dates available except Hannah's stone was found (white headstone), between Hammond and Rowley headstones
---------------------------
NOTE: ! ! ! ! Usually spelled STINEMETZ, but
STEINMETZ, Steinemetz, Stinemets, Stinemates, Stinmetz, Stimatze, Stinemetze and Stinmets, are also commonly found as well as several other variations. I have confirmed most, if not all are of the same family line regardless of how it was spelled. Spellings vary in hundreds of tombstones and documents but links are certain. TJD2012
