Nelda Griese

Mrs. Nelda Griese, 92, a resident of Sunny Ridge, died at Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon. She had been a patient there for one day.

She was born April 10, 1890, in Plymouth, a daughter of Henry C. and Anna Kroos Bade. She attended St. John Lutheran School and Plymouth High School.

On Dec. 4, 1911, she marries Leon Griese at Plymouth. The couple lived in Plymouth, Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls. Mr. Griese died Sept. 22, 1957.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and was once active in the Ladies Aid and Mission Circle.

Surviving are two sons, Alvin L. of Appleton and Henry L. of Manitowoc; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Four brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Wittkopp Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Pegorsch, co-pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Griese’s name for the St. John Lutheran Sunday School.
