Lillie Mae Sexton, 78, of Huntsville, passed away Monday morning, March 3, 1986, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge following a lengthy illness.
She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Betty Ann Lowe Byrge and was a member of First Baptist Church at Huntsville. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Fred, Walter, and Carlie Byrge.
Mrs. Sexton is survived by her husband, Burchfield Sexton of Huntsville; four sons: Doyle, Neil, and Clendon Sexton, all of Huntsville, and Bennie Sexton of Florida; two daughters: Mrs. Pauline Acres of Helenwood, and Mrs. Betty Jean Levine of Wisconsin; three brothers Jim and Winfield Byrge, both of Knoxville, and Paul Byrge of Huntsville; four sisters: Mrs. Gil (Ruth) Crowley and Mrs. Arnold (Kathleen) West, both of Huntsville, and Mrs Harold (Ivalene) Strunk of Powell, and Mrs. Edna Howard of Knoxville; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the chapel of the Scot County Funeral Home in Oneida with Rev. Charles Boonstra and Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Carson Memorial Park in Oneida. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Scott County Funeral Home in Oneida was in charge of arrangements.
