Homer Labarge, 87, lifelong resident of the Clyde community, died Wednesday at the Sunset Nursing Center, Concordia. Mr. Labarge was born Aug. 25, 1895, at St. Joseph, Kan. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Clyde. He also was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph.
Surviving are three sons, Ronal and James, both of Aurora, and Patrick, Topeka; a brother, Fred, Santa Monica, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, the Rev. Donald Pfannenstiel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, where friends may call.
