LAURA JOHNSRUD

Mrs. Halvor Johnsrud, 69, of 1510 Division street, died this noon at the Holy
Family hospital, where she has been a patient four weeks. Mrs. Johnsrud, nee
Laura Johnson, was born in 1873 and in 1893 was married to Mr. Johnsrud. Except
for a period they resided in Door county they lived in Manitowoc. Survivors are
the widower; eight sons, Clarence, Alfred, Edwin, Melvin, Oscar and Kenneth, of
this city, Lester of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Rinehart Peppler, of this
city, Mrs. Lee Brandt of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, John of Escanaba,
Thomas of Waldo, Kunte of Sheboygan, and Jacob of Milwaukee; and 14
grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Carl Hovi, died two years ago. Funeral
arrangements have not been completed and will be announced Thursday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Halvor Johnsrud, 69, of 1510 Division street, who died
Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the St. Paul's Lutheran church.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Johnsrud, nee Laura Johnson, was
born in Norway in 1873 and came here with her parents when a child. In 1893, she
was married to Mr. Johnsrud. Survivors are the widower and eight sons. The name
of one son, John, was omitted yesterday. She was a member of the St. Paul's
Lutheran congregation, a charter member of the Ladies Aid society and also a
member of the Robert Hampton chapter of War Mothers. The body may be viewed at
the Pfeffer funeral home after Friday at 10 a.m. and the casket will be closed
at 2 o'clock.
