BERNICE KREIL

Bernice I. Kreil, age 81, of 3716 Schroeder Drive, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, Feb. 5, 2005 in Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane Manitowoc. The Revs. Robert Kujawski and Stephen Melso will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Bernice was born June 23, 1923 in Manitowoc County, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Schrank Pleuss. She was a 1941 graduate of Manitowoc's Lincoln High School. On March 17, 1943, Bernice was married to Edward A. Kreil at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Edward preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2001. Bernice was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law: Jan (Joanne) Kreil of Manitowoc; Jim (Julie) Kreil of Two Rivers; Jeff (Elaine) Kreil of Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Craig (Lorene) Kreil of Mishawaka, Ind.; Cory Kreil of Denison, Texas; Curt (Angela) Kreil of Wills Point, Texas; Jodie Kreil of Manitowoc; Nick Kreil of Manitowoc; Jamie Kreil of Manitowoc; four great-grandchildren: Madison, Evan, Lindsey and Abby; one step great-granddaughter: Morgan; one sister: Viola Rusch of rural Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Florence Pleuss of Manitowoc; Marie Mayer of Florida; Harold (Grace) Kreil of Manitowoc; Earl Stock of Manitowoc; a special niece: Diane Knowles of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, five brothers: Harvey, Norman, Erwin, Henry and Raymond Pleuss and by six sisters: Linda Vogt, Erna Haupt, Elsie Grosshuesch, Anna Baryenbruch, Irene Baryenbruch, and one infant sister. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc, 818 State St. on Tuesday from 4:30 until 7 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions would be appreciated for Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church.
