CONCORDIA — Ruby P. Koester, 87, rural Concordia, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1995, at her home.
Mrs. Koester was born Ruby P. Sjogren on March 3, 1908, north of Concordia. She taught in rural schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, both of Huscher; Leah Chapter Order of Eastern Star and A O Chapter of P.E.O., both of Concordia; and Nelson Center Extension Homemakers Unit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1984 and a granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons, Loren of Concordia and Gene of Torrance, Calif.; a daughter, Carol Stewart of Claflin; three sisters, Minnie Jenson, Esther Johnson, both of Concordia, and Sigrid Pishny of Waterville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Huscher, the Rev. Bill Eisele officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery, Huscher. Memorials may be made to the church or Frank Carlson Library in Concordia. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, 325 W. Sixth St., Box 606, Concordia 66901.
