Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Michaelson were held Oct. 25, 1960 from the First Baptist church, Rev. Roy E. Knuteson officiated. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery. The pallbearers were: R. Lehman, Vernon Erickson, Walfred Johnson, Charles Neller, Arthur A. Johnson and C. Walter Johnson.
Nina Marie Michaelson was born Dec. 13, 1897 in La Grand township, the daughter of Alfred and Susanna Magnuson. She grew to womanhood in La Grand township and on Nov. 26, 1924 was united in marriage to Herman Michaelson. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Michelson made their home in Alexandria. They were both members of the First Baptist church of Alexandria.
Mrs. Michaelson passed away oct. 23, 1960 at the Douglas county hospital at the age of 62 years. surviving are her husband, Herman; one daughter, Ruth (Mrs. Clifford Peterson, Jr.) of Alexandria, and two sons, John and Jim of Minneapolis. Also surviving are four grandchildren, two brothers, Albert and Julius of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Esther (Mrs. Harlan Campbell), and two brothers, August and Axel.
