On September 26, 1927, he was united in marriage to Hazel Anderson. They made their home in Alexandria for over 50 years. During this time Albert worked in road construction in Douglas County and also served as Street Commissioner for the city of Alexandria.
Albert passed away at the Bethany Home in Alexandria November 28, 1980, at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his wife Hazel of Alexandria; son: Albert and daughter-in-law Ann Magnuson of Burnsville, Minnesota; grandchildren: Susan of Eagan, Minnesota; Carol of Egan, Minnesota, and Sherri of Minneapolis; brother: Julius Magnuson of Alexandria. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were at the First Baptist Church in Alexandria, Minnesota on December 1, 1980. Rev. Allen Travaille officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Harlan Campbell, James Rudd, Clifford Peterson, Winfred Anderson, Daniel Neller and Orrin Johnson. He was buried with military honors. Arrangements with Anderson Funeral Home.
