Mrs. Susanna Magnuson, who made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harlan Campbell, passed on Thursday night, October 10th, 1935 at 11:40 o'clock. Mrs. Magnuson was born in Dalarne, Sweden, on March 12th, 1865 and was 70 years, 6 months and 28 days at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson. Susanna Erickson came to Alexandria from Sweden in 1889 and in 1890 was married to Alfred Magnuson, who had preceded her to America two years previous, and whom she had known in Sweden. Alfred Magnuson passed away eight years ago. Surviving the parents now are the following children: Axel, August, Albert, Julius, Nina (Mrs. Herman Michaelson) and Esther (Mrs. Harlan Campbell), all living in Alexandria. There are two sisters surviving, Mina Person and Lina Carlson of Grangesberg, Sweden; also one granddaughter and three grandsons. One sister, Mrs. Johannes Johnson, preceded her in death 5 years ago.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 from the Anderson Funeral Home and at 2:30 from the Swedish Baptist church. Interment was made beside the remains of Mr. Magnuson in Evergreen cemetery. Rev. Axel Anderson officiated the services. Pallbearers were Ole Lindgren, Ole Englund, Alfred Berglund, Emil Karle, Lars Michaelson and Alfred Bloom.
