Canton- Miss Anna Desmond, 66, died at an Ogdensburg hospital Monday evening.
She was born in North Lawrence, Mar. 6, 1876, daughter of the late John and Mary O'Connor Desmond. She spent most of her life in Potsdam where she graduated from the Potsdam High School and State Teachers college. She taught school in Potsdam until her retirement some years ago.
Miss Desmond is survived by two sisters, Mrs. William Dunn of New York City and Mrs. Angus Parkinson of Waddington. Two brothers, John Desmond of Potsdam and Augustus Desmond of Haverstraw. Also three nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the E.E.O'Leary Funeral parlors at Canton on Thursday morning at 9:15 o'clock and at 10 from St. Mary's church. Remains will be placed in the vault at St. Mary's cemetery pending burial at Brasher Falls in the spring.
