Kenneth L. Closson, 72, Williamsburg, died Friday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Cross Keys, son of the late Percy and Grace (Orr) Closson. He married Linda G. Leonard on May 1, 1965, in Winchester, Va.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Terry (Jeanie) of Martinsburg; two daughters: Sue Thompson (Charlie) of Williamsburg and Brenda Closson of South Hill, Va.; five grandchildren: Brittany Yingling (Cody), Jenna Salyards (Josh), Steve Meiser Jr. (Laura), Matthew Meiser (Nicole) and Zachary Brown; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Raber of Duncansville; a brother, George Closson of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Edna Smith, Violet Kimberlin, Helen Berg, Carl, Percy, Charles "Mick," John and an infant brother, Herbert.

Ken was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1961 until 1965. He retired from Taylor Township.

There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Smith Corner Church, East Freedom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smith Corner Church. Arrangements are by Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville.
