Mrs. Helen M. Berg, 72,203 Greendown Acres, Duncansville, died Thursday morning, Dec. 11,1997, at her residence, following a brief illness.

She was born Dec.25,1924, in Cross Keys, Duncansville, the daughter of the late Percy H. and Grace H. (Orr) Closson. She married Leo J. Berg Jr. March 16,1956, in Altoona. He died Aug. 11,1984.

Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Berg worked at the Penn Alto Hotel. She was a 1943 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

Surviving are four daughters: Kathy Ott of Hollidaysburg RR, Karen Longo of Altoona, Cindy Shaffer of Bedford RD 4 and Tina L. Ashburn of Hinesville, Ga.; three sons: Leo J. III and Timothy J., both of Duncansville, and Michael R. of Osterburg; seven brothers: Carl of Manheim, Thomas B. of
Farmington, Ark., Percy of Marklesburg, Charles and George, both of Duncansville, Kenneth of Roaring Spring, and John 0. of East Aurora, N.Y.; two sisters: Edna Smith of Claysburg and Dorothy Raber of Duncansville; and 11 grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister Vioiet J. Kimberlin.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Saturday at Liebegott-Fisher Funeral Home, Duncansville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Liebegott-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville, by Pastor Charles F. Rhodes. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
