Lydia Bergsten Barrie was born Feb. 2, 1887, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bergsten. Her father was a pioneer merchant at Garfield. Mrs. Barrie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Arthur (Lucille) Bahr of Young America and Cassius Barrie of Finley, N.D. Two brothers and five sisters also survive. These are: Gust Bergsten, Garfield; Alfred Bergsten, Minneapolis; Mrs. Anna Johnson, Mrs. Knute J. Knutson, both of Garfield; Mrs. Christ Johnson of North Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Alfred Christensen, Bremerton, Wash.; and Mrs. Charles R. Johnson, St. Cloud. Four grandchildren also survive.
