The Douglas county deaths book says Carl Bergsten - 4 days old. Parents: Andrew and Anna Johnson Bergsten. Parents born in Sweden. Carl died June 14, 1870.
But the notes from the Fahlun old site say he was 4 months old. April to July of 1870.
Both of those may be wrong.
Parish records from Floda, Dalarna, Sweden show that little Carl Gustaf was born on April 4th, 1870, just one month before the family signed out of the parish on May 3, 1870 to travel to Minnesota.
Perhaps the journey was too strenuous for him. He died shortly after they arrived in Douglas County, Minnesota, or maybe on the journey?

The name was originally spelled Bergstien or Bergstein in the Douglas County deaths book, later corrected, but in Sweden it was Bergsten.
