Helen Louise (Adams) Chapman, 92, of Anderson, died January 10, 2017 at Rawlins House in Pendleton after an extended illness.


Helen was born in Bartholomew County to Clarence and Abbie Arvilla (Hayes) Adams.


Helen was a homemaker who loved her family and raised three generations. She worked various jobs including decorating cakes for 15 years especially for weddings.


She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Granger of Indianapolis; two adopted daughters, Kandee Borton and Tykayla Bond both of Anderson; five grandchildren, Ernie Bond, Stephen Bond, Tami Benton, Leah Bond and Cynthia Granger; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn (Philip) Landes; two sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Adams and Marilyn Adams, and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Henry Baker, second husband, Noah Chapman; daughters, Gloria Jean Baker and Sharon Elaine Heath, son, Stephen Ray Baker; eight siblings, Dale, Ted, Leslie, Lester and Bob Adams; Sue Clore, Rosemary (VanNess) Hoppe and Juanita Daringer.


Service will be held at 2 p.m. time, on Tuesday, January 17 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor David Reames officiating with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
