C. J. Adams Dies Monday

Clarence James Adams, 72, 1420 W. 10th St., died about 9 p.m. Monday at his home. Mr. Adams was born Aug. 5 1888 in Jackson County and came to Anderson from Jennings County about 35 years ago. He was a retired employe of the Anderson Stove Co. Surviving are the widow, Arvilla; five sons, Walter Dale, Leslie Cort, and Lester William Adams, all of Anderson; Clarence Ted Adams, Elwood, and Robert K. Adams, Cicero; five daughters, Mrs. Helen Baker, Mrs. Sue Clore, Mrs. Juanita Zirklebach and Miss Marilyn Adams, all of Anderson, and Mrs. Rosemary VanNess, Virginia; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Lula Amick, Columbus, Ind. Services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Baker Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. A. C. Marvin of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church officiating. Burial will be in the Reddington Cemetery at Reddington. Friends will be received aft6er 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
