From Refugio
Mrs. Ed St. John of this place has just received the painful intelligence of the death of her son Albert. The information comes by letter from Red Rock, Indian Territory, dated May 20, which states: "Albert was killed at this place yesterday evening - shot for times, two of them mortal; he never spoke. He was murdered in cold blood and it can be proved," etc. Signed, by O.T. Love, in whose employ deceased was the the time he met his death. This estimable lady , before receiving the sad news, was in high hopes of soon seeing deceased home as he had been away some four or five years. She has the sympathy of many friends.
