Mrs. K. Kendel Dies Wednesday in Houston
Mrs. D. L. Kendel, former resident of this county, passed away Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter in Houston. Her body was to brought to Gonzales Wednesday afternoon, and funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon from the Seydler Funeral Home.
Following services at the chapel, interment will be made in the Kokernot cemetery.
Mrs. Kendel, who was 97 years of age at the time of her death, was reared in the Kokernot section, and was well known here. She was a sister to the late L. M. Kokernot, and was an aunt to Mrs. B. N. Peck, Mrs. John Hamon, Fred Kokernot, Sr., all of Gonzales, W. H. Kokernot of Alphine, H. L. Kokernot of San Antonio, Mrs. C. E. Dilworth of Stockdale, and Rufus Littlefield of Kokernot.
