Florence M. Hively, 76, of Emigsville, died' Sunday morning at Rest Haven-York. She was the wife of Clair F. Hively. The couple recently had observed the 58th anniversary of their wedding.

The service will be 1 1 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Springettsbury Township. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the L.E. Diehl Funeral Home Inc., 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 3293 Broad St., Emigsville, 17318.

Mrs. Hively was born at Mount Zion, Springettsbury Township. She was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Gertie M. (Schriver) Spangler.

She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and its Adult Sunday School Class. She also belonged to the Womens Society and had served with its Altar Guild. She lived in the Emigsville area over 50 years.

Mrs. Hively also is survived by four brothers, Curvin Spangler, George Spangler, Harry Spangler and Warren Spangler, all of York; six sisters, Catherine Anderson, Elizabeth Hamme, Grace Thoman, Stella Hamme and Geraldine Metzel, all of York, and Delores Miller of Cumberland, Md.; nieces and nephews; and Phyllis Bowers, Jacobus, who she assisted in raising. She was preceeded in death 10 days ago by a brother, John Spangler.'

Officiating at the service will be he pastor, the Rev. Stephen W. Yambor, and by a nephew, the Rev. Richard L. Bowers, pastor of Mount Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church. 04-29-90
