Louise Lee Britt, 72
East Liverpool -- Louise Lee Britt, dedicated wife and mother, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 16, 2005, surrounded by her loving family in her home on state Route 7 in Lisbon. A daughter of the late Jonathan Allison and Dessie Bower, Louise was born in New Cumberland Aug. 11, 1932. She attended the former Wells High School in Newell before moving from the area, returning in 1970 from Wilmington, Mass. Along with her husband, she was co-owner of Starlite Video located throughout the area and Astra Rental in Calcutta and Columbiana, which the Britts established after their association with Taylor Rental for a number of years. Her husband, William E. Britt, whom she married Dec. 31, 1969, was a career submariner, having served 26 years with the U. S. Navy. It was during his tour of duty at the Groton Submarine Base in Connecticut that the couple combined their families with their wedding in nearby Wilmington. The Britts continued their relationship with the U. S. Navy by their active association with SubmarineV eterans organization and the Holland Club, in which Mr. Britt currently serves as the National Commander. Besides her husband, William Britt at home, there are five daughters; Collen Britt of California, Cathleen Britt of East Liverpool, Mrs. Randy (Candy) Taylor of Negley, Mrs. Chip (Paula) Schell of Lisbon and Mrs. Lee (Christine) Lerussi of East Liverpool. Six sons also survive: William Britt of California, Timothy (Cathy) Britt of Nevada, Patrick (Mary) Britt of Toronto, Ohio, and Michael (Marsha) Britt, Skip (Missi) Jackson and Christopher (Kelli) Britt of East Liverpool. Besides a sister, Mrs. Katherine Rennix, and a brother, Clarence Allison, who both reside in Newell, Louise is also survived by 31 grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Sfakis, and three brothers: Blaine, William, and Ralph Allison. A granddaughter, Britt Cunningham, died Feb. 19, 1984. Friends may call on the family at the Dawson Funeral Home today, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Larry Rose of the Northside Community Church will officiate at the funeral service, which will begin at noon on Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Dawson Funeral Home.
