Blaine Allison, 62, terminal manager

Newell - Services are planned this afternoon for D. Blaine Allison, 62, of Grant Street, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1992, at the Weirton Medical Center of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Newell April 20, 1929, a son of the late Jonathan and Dessie Bower Allison. Mr. Allison was manager of the Newell terminal of Combustion Engineering Transport before retiring in 1985. He had served with the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Chester Masonic Lodge 142. Survivors include his wife, Laura Rogers Allison, whom he married March 20, 1953; a daughter, Mrs. Kathi Henson of Chester; two sons, David Blaine Allison of Chester and Brian Allison of Dover, Del.; three sisters, Katherine (Mrs. Don) Rennix of Newell and Marquerite Sfakis and Louise (Mrs. Bill) Britt of East Liverpool; two brothers, Ralph Allison of St. Marys, W. Va., and Clarence Allison of Newell; and eight grandchildren. The services are to be held at 1 in the Mausoleum of Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens where burial is to take place. The Tri - State Veterans Burial Group is to accord graveside military honors. No calling hours are planned. The Nixon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
