William L. Allison, 43, of 1019 Claiborne Ave. was pronounced dead Friday after being found in his truck near Oklahoma City, Okla. The truck was parked at a truck stop. The local coroner said he apparently died of a heart attack Wednesday while on a cross - country truck run. He was born June 29, 1939, in New Cumberland, W. Va., to Dessie Mae Bower of St. Marys, W.Va., and the late Jonathan Ralph Allison. Mr. Allison resided his lifetime in the Tri-State area. He was a driver for Combustion Engineering for 10 years, driving mostly long haul runs. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates Lodge 26 and Teamster Local 92. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Lou Hinton Allison, at the home, two sons, Daniel William Allison and Bradley James Allison, also of the home; three sisters, Mrs. George (Marguerite) Stakis and Mrs. William (Louise) Britt, both of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Donald (Katherine) Rennix of Newell; and three brothers, Ralph J. Allison of St. Marys, W. Va., Blaine Allison of Chester, and Clarence Allison of Newell. Services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home with the Rev. Riley Lawrence Jr. of the First Church of the Nazarene of Newell officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call anytime Sunday at the funeral home.
