Doris J. Buchanan, age 91, of Warrior, Alabama passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2019. Doris was born March 18, 1928.
Doris was preceded in death by her daughters Glorian Daile Buchanan Tucker (Staten), Myra "Myrr" Kaye Buchanan and her brothers Frank Pierce and Dick Pierce.
She is survived by her daughters Linda Buchanan Centers and Rhonda Buchanan Sawyer, her sisters Jackie Creel and Heloise Jones. Her loving grandchildren Charles "Chuck" Centers II (Karla), Nathan Pierce Tucker, SaVille Morgan (Michael), Deke Sawyer. Great Grandchildren include Jacob, Abigail, Colton, Ripley, Jaina, and Sawyer.
Member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church. Doris was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother and will truly be missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life visitation for Doris will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life graveside service will occur Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
